April 28 to May 3 — La Raza Culture Days
Centered on the Quad
This week raises awareness about the social, cultural and political issues facing the Chicano/Latino community and celebrates the traditions and contributions of Chicano/Latino cultures. On May 3, the family event, La Gran Tardeada, features music; dance; a health fair; children's activities; and arts and crafts vendors. For more information, call (530) 752-2027.

May 3, Saturday — Bicycle Auction
8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for viewing
9 a. m. auction, West Entry Parking Structure (adjacent to the Fire/Police Station)

More than 400 unclaimed or abandoned bicycles are auctioned. The average selling price of the bikes is usually $20 to $30. For more information, call (530) 752-BIKE.

May 3, Saturday — Aggie Auction
A silent auction of more than 1,000 items, a live auction and raffles benefit the athletic department's grant-in-aid fund for student athletes. The evening includes a wine tasting, a banquet and entertainment. Tickets are required. For more information, call (530) 752-2699.

May 8, Thursday — Spring Internship and Career Fair
Pavilion
This fair provides opportunities for UC Davis students and alumni to discuss internship and career options with representatives from businesses, agencies and campus units. For more information, visit the Web site of the Internship and Career Center or call (530) 752-2855.

May 9 to 11— Whole Earth Festival
Centered on the Quad
The Whole Earth Festival features crafts, workshops, informational booths and musical entertainment. Reminiscent of the ’60s, it demonstrates today's environmental spirit by using solar energy to power entertainment stages and other equipment and having an aggressive program to capture most of the festival's waste for recycling or composting. May 12 to 17 — Black Family Week
Black Family Week celebrates the cultures of people of African descent. It presents programs that promote awareness and understanding of the educational, social and artistic achievements of the African people. For more information, call (530) 752-2027.

May 18, Sunday — Band-uh!-Thon
The Cal Aggie Marching Band holds its largest fundraiser of the year. The event includes a silent auction, a barbecue, a dunk tank, activities for children and live music. For more information, call (530) 752-2027.
